Take note that marble tiles are prone to staining so you have to watch out for it. Acidic substances like vinegar and citric juices can cause stains on your marble floor. Spilled water, if left too long can cause spots. The primary rule in marble maintenance is to get to the spill as soon as possible to avoid the substance from sipping into the marble and caused staining that is hard to remove.
Beer, wine and tea can cause stains on your clothes as well as on your marble flooring. Hydrogen peroxide mixed with a few drops of ammonia when rubbed with a clean cloth will do the trick to clean the stain. Cooking oil and other greasy products can also cause stain on your marble flooring. Clean the spill immediately with soap and water and dry quickly.
Marble flooring is very easy to maintain, you only just have to clean it everyday to remove the dirt and make sure that it is free from stain. Mopping it daily and thoroughly drying it afterwards will do wonders towards having elegant-looking marble flooring.
