1. A fresh coat of paint
This will really change the look of the room instantly. Select the colors that will make you feel calm, alive and happy. When redoing a room, try to match the paint with the furnitures that you want to put in the room.

2. Change your lighting
Changing your lighting fixtures can change the ambiance of your house. Always install dimmer switches. moods can be set instantly with just a click of a few switches. Chandeliers always add elegance to a room but they need not be expensive. Symmetry is important too. Replace old flooring with a new one. It can be the same material or a new one altogether. You can remove the carpet to showcase the hardwood flooring. Whatever you want to do to your old flooring, a fresh new one always looks appealing. Make sure that your new flooring matches the theme and look of the room.

6. Overall outside house appearance
Take a good look of your house’s outside appearance. Repair cracked walls, steps and driveway. Apply a fresh coat of paint to the exterior of the house. Check the lighting, replace busted ones or install additional lighting.

7. Change the landscape
