Laminate flooring has become quite popular as a flooring option nowadays. It is due to its joint integrity, fade resistance, stain resistance, wear and tear resistance and water resistance properties. It is also easy to install and cleaning is a breeze. Aside form this, laminate flooring comes in a wide variety of designs to suit everyone’s taste.

Maintenance and care of laminate flooring is mostly preventive like:

• Avoid scratches by putting some rubber or felt protectors on the legs of all your furnitures.
• Put a rubber mat on the door and make sure that everyone will wipe their feet on it before entering the house. This will remove the dirt and debris that is in the shoes and can scratch the laminate floor.
• Although laminate flooring is water resistant, it is still wise to get to the spills immediately. This is to prevent the liquid from seeping through in between the laminate tiles.
• Mop with plain water and a little soap. Dry thoroughly afterwards.
